Artist

Ross Onley-Zerkel

Ross is a developing deaf writer. He participated in writing workshops facilitated by Arnold Zable, and he was inspired by how he could express words through writing. It makes him an English Second Language writer because his first language is Auslan. Ross developed and presented a prose in Auslan at the 2012 Melbourne Writers Festival’s session “Thru Deaf Eyes” with 4 other deaf writers. Ross is currently working on a manuscript of his autobiographical stories blended in with his recent travel experiences. The book will represent a journey of a deaf man’s life experiences through his eyes.
