Emily Gale

Emily Gale has worked in the children’s book industry for nearly 20 years, as an editor, a reader for a literary agent, a literary award judge, and a children’s book buyer for Readings, where she initiated the Readings Children’s Book Prize. Hailing from London but a resident of Melbourne for nine years, Emily’s YA novels are Girl, Aloud (2010), Steal My Sunshine (2013), and The Other Side of Summer (2016), which was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award and the Aurealis Award. Eliza Boom, a hapless inventor, is her junior fiction character, published in several languages.
