Elizabeth Bryer is a writer and translator. She has written about memory, identity and cultural imaginings for The Lifted Brow, Seizure, Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings, Best Australian Science Writing, Sydney Review of Books and elsewhere. Her first full-length translation, Claudia Salazar Jiménez’s Americas Prize–winning novel Blood of the Dawn, is out with Deep Vellum (North America). In 2017 she is the recipient of a PEN/Heim grant to translate Aleksandra Lun’s The Palimpsests, and she is also working on bringing Enrique Verástegui’s body of work into English. She recently joined The Lifted Brow as translations editor.
