Yuki Iwama is a queer+trans Korean-Japanese writer and director based in Melbourne. They is politically driven, aiming to provide visible platforms for marginalised people. Yuki has appeared in literary magazines and anthologies, and they is currently working on their debut novel. Their experiences in theatre include writing and directing plays that have been performed at the La Mama Theatre, Mudfest, and Melbourne Fringe Festival. They also have interests in sound and film and often use multimedia to present their work. Most recently, they has spoken at the National Young Writers’ Festival. Starting 2017, they is a playwright-in-residence at Lonely Company.
