Yacinta Kurniasih is a self-proclaimed language and Tempeh lover. She is currently teaching at the Indonesian Studies, School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics, Monash University. Yacinta writes mostly about gender, politics and sexuality in Javanese, Indonesian and English. She has published and performed her poems in both Indonesia and Australia. Her latest publications are: To Whom It May Concern (YJP, 2015), Aku, Perempuan dan Kata-Kata (YJP, 2016) and Wanodya (Interlude, 2017 – together with other 10 Javanese women poets).
