Michael Green is an award-winning journalist in Melbourne and a coordinator of Behind the Wire, an oral history project about Australian immigration detention. He is the co-editor of the book They Cannot Take the Sky, and produced an exhibition based on the book for the Immigration Museum. Michael is also a producer of The Messenger, a podcast about Abdul Aziz Muhamat and his life in detention on Manus Island. As a print journalist, Michael has written about environmental and social justice for The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Nature, Nautilus, Smith Journal, Right Now and Overland, among others.
