Cate Blake is a Commissioning Editor with Penguin Random House Australia, publishing and editing fiction and nonfiction for a general adult readership. Books she has published have won or been nominated for awards including the National Biography Award, the Davitt Awards, the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards and the International Dublin Literary Award. She has a Bachelor of Arts, with honours in English literature and political science, from the University of Melbourne, and has developed her editorial and publishing skills through attending the Residential Editorial Program, run by the Australian Publishers’ Association, and the Yale University Publishing Course in the USA.
