Bobuq Sayed is a queer and non-binary writer, artist and community agitator of the Afghan diaspora. They co-edit Archer Magazine and they are the co-founder of the QTPoC activist collective, Colour Tongues, which organises performance/poetry nights and the monthly initiative Bridgemeals, which provides a community building platform for queer and trans refugees. Their work has appeared in Kill Your Darlings, Archer, Vice and the sex ed zine, Trans sex. They have also performed their creative work at the Emerging Writer’s Festival, Melbourne Writers Festival, Village Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival and, most recently, at Alterity Collective’s Rituals.
