Graphic Translation

Featuring work from Japanese anti-nuclear art collective ODZ, this live translation event will reflect on Japan’s complex relationship with nuclear energy. Five emerging translators will traverse the nation’s memories of nuclear power as a technology with the capacity to bring life as well as death. This visual storytelling event will conclude with a panel discussion on the creative practice behind translation, and the challenges and benefits of cross-cultural exchanges.
