Ellena Savage is Editor of The Lifted Brow. Her essays, criticism, fiction, and artist collaborations have been published and performed widely. In 2015, her hybrid essay ‘But with blood’ was shortlisted for both The Richell Prize and the Lord Mayor’s Creative Writing Awards, and was long-listed for the Scribe Nonfiction Prize for Young Writers, and she was named one of Melbourne Writers Festival’s 30 Writers Under 30. In 2014, her essay ‘Secret Warzone’ was shortlisted for the print and online category of the Australian Human Rights Commission’s Human Rights Award. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Creative Writing at Monash University.
