Nicole Hayes is an author and tutor of fiction and screenwriting. Her debut novel, The Whole of My World, was shortlisted for the 2014 Young Australians’ Best Book Award (YABBA) and longlisted for the 2014 Gold Inky Award. Her new novel, One True Thing, explores politics, feminism, music and family – and what happens to secrets when your whole life is public. It was awarded the 2015 Children’s Peace Literature Award. Most recently, she has co-edited with Alicia Sometimes an anthology of Australian writers called From the Outer (due for publication by Black Inc. in April 2016).
