Ruth Clare did a degree in biochemistry minoring in journalism before deciding to live her dream of becoming an actor. She did plays and short films, landed roles on a couple of soaps, and did loads of commercials, but gave it all up to become a professional writer in 2004. She has written for magazines, created a range of educational materials, as well as working as a copywriter for a wide range of business clients. Ruth was a finalist in the 2014 Cowley Literary Award for an abridged excerpt from Enemy.
