Chandani Lokuge migrated to Australia from Sri Lanka. She has published 14 books including 3 novels and a book of short stories. Her literary awards include Sri Lanka’s Godage National Literary Award and shortlisting for NSW Premier’s Prize. She is Editor for Oxford University Press of the Classics Reissues series of Indian women’s writing in English. Chandani has held guest professorships at Freie University Berlin and Le Studium Advanced Studies Institute, France. Chandani founded and directed the Monash Centre for Postcolonial Writing from 2002-2012. Chandani is Associate Professor and Higher Degree Research Coordinator for Creative Writing at Monash University.
