Iffat Abbsar moved from Pakistan to Australia when she was just three years old as a refugee. As a child, Iffat spent most of her time making up stories to amuse her friends, but passing them off as true. Tired of being called a liar, Iffat proclaimed herself a writer and began expressing her angst in healthy ways. In a constant state of existential crisis, Iffat writes about the strange world that we live in hopes to inspire kindness, emotional understanding and empathy in people through her poetry. Poignant and sometimes confronting, Iffat’s work truly packs a punch.
